Boy, have I got a super easy do-it-yourself project for you this month - a pretty doormat for your front porch, back porch, garage door, garden entry, or anywhere else that you want to add some character!
Easter is such a special time for those of us who walk in faith. It's a time to come together as a family, in faith, to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus. Even for my non-religious friends, it is a time for family gatherings and togetherness. I don't know about you, but our family tends to gather around food, which means time spent at the dining room table. Which works perfect for me because I love to cook and I love to decorate! Okay, I also love to eat...
The sun is shining and I am ready for some spring decor in our home. I typically pull out some of my spring foundational pieces at this time of year and then layer in my Easter-specific pieces. That way I have my foundation set for after Easter, but can still do a spring-specific refresh after the holiday. It works out pretty well because most of my spring decor works well for Easter as well.
I am often asked where I get the items I use to decorate our home. I have this lovely habit of always having projects going on around the house. I get anxious when I’m not busy, so I try to channel that into something productive. That results in regularly decorating, designing, and updating the spaces in our home.
Farmhouse style decor is all the rage (thank you Joanna Gaines!) and I don’t foresee it going anywhere anytime soon. It’s such a classic, Americana style. One that I personally love so very much! Check out the tutorial below and you can make a rustic Lucky sign to display in your own home this St. Patrick’s Day season - for a fraction of the cost of buying one!
